Class IV, Account Assistant recruitment: DCs directed to start arrangements for written test

Jammu, Sep 22: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Verma on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the Deputy Commissioners through video conferencing to review the arrangements put in place for conducting the various level exams with a focus on the conduct of written test for filling Class IV and Class- III vacancies.

The Chairman Service Selection Board, Khalid Jahangir was also present in the meeting. Chairman SSRB, Khalid Jahangir informed the meeting that 4 lakh applications have been received in respect of Class IV posts and around 1 lakh 90 thousand for Accounts Assistant respectively. He said special rules have been notified and a single exam shall be conducted.

While terming accelerated recruitment as one of the flagship initiatives of the Government, the Div Com( J) stressed on the need for infrastructure assessment which is imperative for conducting exams in a hassle-free manner.

He further directed the Chairman SSRB to designate Members of Service Selection Board to visit various districts so that proper planning of manpower deployment and capacity building is done with the help of the Deputy Commissioners.
