Srinagar, October 28: Feroze Peerzada has formally resigned from the presidentship and basic membership of Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM).
In his resignation letter sent to JKPM executive committee on Tuesday, JKPM President Feroze Peerzada said that he is resigning from the presidentship and basic membership of JKPM due to “personal reasons”.
In his resignation letter, Feroze thanked all his party members for their support during this short political career.

In the past there was a divide in the party, as the founder and former president of JKPM Shah Faisal resigned. Since then there has been two JKPM parties in the region, one headed by Javaid Mustafa Mir and another by (now resigned) Feroze Peerzada, both claiming to be the leaders of real JKPM party.
