Srinagar, Nov 22: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has terminated four teachers for remaining unauthorized absent from their duties.
Among the four teachers that have been suspended, two are from Baramulla and one from Ganderbal and Anantnag. Whereas, the education department has invoked the terms of Article 113 and Article 128 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30 (VII) of J&KCCA rules 1956 for the termination of teachers.
As per the order issued Director of School Education Kashmir, Alka Tak Teacher, Middle School Tangwarii Baramulla remained unauthorizedly absent from her legitimate duties from 2015. The teacher was provided with enough opportunities to resume her duties which she failed to do so.
The issue was however placed before the designated committee in its meeting held in June, this year. However, the reply to the notice was found unsatisfactory and unsubstantiated. Hence, forth, Alka Tak Teacher, Middle School Tangwarii Baramulla was removed from the service of the state in terms of Article 113 and Article 128 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30 (VII) of J&KCCA rules 1956.
Further as per the order issued by DSEK, Rubeena Kakroo was appointed in the Department as Teacher in District Cadre Baramulla on 24-06-2009 for a probation period of two years and subsequently posted in Middle School Pir Mohalla.
Whereas, after joining the services it was observed that the teacher is habitual of remaining un-unauthorizedly absent from her legitimate duties and used to go abroad without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority, the order reads.
Whereas, the issue was enquired by the CEO Baramulla and it was reported that the teacher hardly attended her duties for 57 days in the institution, rest of period she remained unauthorizedly absent till 01-10/2011, and thereafter remained continuously absent from her legitimate duties
Whereas, the issue was placed before the Designated Committee held on 04/08/2021 and the committee after examining the case took their decision. Now, therefore, Rubeena Kakroo Teacher MS Pir Mohalla, Baramulla is hereby removed from Government service in terms of Article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 read with Rule 30 (vii) of J&KCCA Rules 1956, it added.
Another teacher, Waseem Gull, Teacher, Boys High School (BHS) Nunner District Ganderbal remained un-authorizedly absent from duties w.e.f. 03-03-2014; and whereas, he was provided the opportunity to resume his duties by the Drawing & Disbursing officer concerned on 30/08/2014 and charge-sheet by this office on 01/12/2020 but he didn’t respond, the order reads.
Whereas the issue was placed before the Designated Committee in its meeting held on 27-10-2021 and after examining the case the committee took the following decision: “To process for termination of services under Article-113 of CSR”, it added.
“Now, therefore, pursuant to the decision of the committee Waseem Gull, Teacher, BHS Nunner District Ganderbal is hereby removed from the service of the state in terms of Article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30(V11) of J&KCCA rules 1956”, the order reads.
Further, as per the order, Ajay Bhat, Teacher, High School Dalwach District Anantnag was appointed in the Department on 27-06-2018 and remained un-authorizedly absent from his legitimate duties w.e.f 09-03-2019 without completion of his probation period.
The department provided opportunities to the teacher, but, neither had he responded to the notices nor presented himself before this Directorate, which indicates, he is not interested to work in the Department more, it reads.
“Now, therefore, pursuant to the decision of the committee Ajay Bhat, Teacher, HS Dalwach District Anantnag is hereby removed from the service of the state in terms of Article 128 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30(V11) of J&KCCA rules 1956”, the order reads.
