Jammu youth bags 3 Gold Medals in World Powerlifting Championship

Jammu, Jan 1: A Jammu youth, Rakesh Kumar has bagged three Gold Medals in the recently held 21st world Powerlifting Championship organized under the aegis of World Powerlifting Federation (London).

Rakesh Kumar won the Gold in Power Lifting, Bench Press and Dead Lift under 110 Kg Master Category.

The championship was organized by Amateur Power lifting Federation of India at Divisional sports Indoor stadium, Amaravati (Maharashtra) India.

Meanwhile, Simrandeep Singh, Secretary to Govt., Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, J&K has commended him for the great achievement and extended best wishes for future championships.
