LG Manoj Sinha visits family of slain goldsmith in Srinagar, assure time-bound probe

Srinagar, Jan 13: Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday met with the family members of slain goldsmith Satpal Nischal in Central Kashmir, Srinagar district and assured them all possible support from the government.

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha accompanied by Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam and IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar and other officials visited the home of Satpal Nischal in Indira Nagar here.

Sinha also conveyed heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family members of Nischal and assured a time-bound probe to bring culprits to justice.

Pertinently, On December 31- 2020, Satpal Nischal, owner of Nischal Jewelers was fired upon by the suspected militants at his shop in Sarai Balla, leaving him in a pool of blood. The goldsmith was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
