Positive patients in GMC being treated as per protocol: Principal GMC Jammu

Oxygen supply, provision of ventilators ensured; medicos performing duties as per roaster

Jammu, Sep 24: Principal Government Medical College and Hospital, Dr Nasib Chand Dingra, today said that the positive patients in the GMC and Associated Hospitals are being taken care of strictly as per the Covid treatment protocol.

The Principal informed that GMC has total 115 patients, of which 30 are in isolation ward, 14 are in CCU, 34 are in ward no 3 and 37 in ward no 7.

He said of these 84 are on oxygen supply and 11 are on ventilators. He said Gandhi Nagar hospital has a total 10 patients of which 2 are on oxygen supply and 4 patients have been discharged. Similarly, Chest Disease hospital has 58 patients out of which 54 have been provided oxygen supply facility. He further informed that one death has also been reported in GMC.

Further, he said that there is adequate supply of oxygen and there is no scarcity of oxygen cylinder and supply.

He also said that all doctors are available and performing their duties according to the duty rooster.
