Traffic Advisory for Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for tomorrow

Srinagar, Jan 19: Tomorrow, subject to fair weather and better road condition only stranded vehicles in Udhampur jurisdiction shall be allowed towards Srinagar including Ramban-Banihal (local traffic), said Traffic police in a statement.

No vehicle shall be allowed in the opposite direction.

The statement added that the weight bearing capacity of installed bailey bridge is less than 40 metric ton.

SFs Convoy Movement

Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW and narrowness of Bailey bridge. They may ply from Jammu towards Srinagar after confirming the status of NHW.

On 22-01-2021 Friday, there shall be no traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW from either side in view of maintenance/repairing of the NHW.

SSG road closed by the J&K Govt. vide DIVCOM Kashmir’s order No 400/2020 dated 30-12-2020 till further orders.

People are advised to undertake journey on NHW-44 only after confirming status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-
