About Straight Line News
Straight Line News is a digital media organisation based in Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the top Digital News portals of Jammu and also a news magazine. Our motto is “Journalism with no strings attached” and we provide the latest news from Jammu and Kashmir which is objective and unbiased. From quick news reports to in-depth news features, civic stories and hyper-local developmental issues, you can find all types of news stories on Straight Line.
We pioneered the promotion of indigenous languages of Jammu including but not restricted to Dogri, Pahari and Gojjri along with ensuring new coverage in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and English for better understanding by the masses. We are headquartered in Jammu region which is somewhat more peaceful than Kashmir and thus receives little to no media coverage. Our attempt is to reach out to all the peripheries of Jammu and Kashmir to voice the concerns of the people in the language they understand better. We also have a separate section dedicated to the Kashmiri Pandit community that faced exodus in the 1990s due to conflict in Kashmir and later settled in Jammu.

Straight Line News is fully owned by Straight Line News Private Limited, a private limited company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) limited by shares. Journalist Mr. Syed Junaid Hashmi and Pallavi Sareen are the founding Directors of Company. Pallavi Sareen is the Editor-in-Chief of The Straight Line and Director of Straight Line News Private Limited. Mr. Syed Junaid Hashmi is the Managing Editor of the Digital News Magazine. Straight Line News has a vibrant YouTube Channel, a Facebook page, Instagram account and Twitter handle.
