SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Branch in Budgam was suspended by the district administration on Friday after its employees tested positive for COVID-19.
According to an official while speaking to a news agency said that the branch has been closed for at least 5 days, after two of its two workers tested positive for Covid-19. He further mentioned that all of the affected employees’ primary and secondary contacts have been advised to self-isolate and quarantine themselves.

Two Education Institutes were also sealed For the Violation Of SOPs in North Kashmir’s Handwara. As COVID-19 cases continue to be on the rise, Handwara administration closed at least two coaching centers for violating SOPs in the area.
According to reports, a team headed by Naib-Tehsildar Handwara and police closed the two coaching centers namely, “Apex Classes and Shaheen Public School.” for violating government guidelines.
“The closed-down institutes were found violating the government guidelines to the recent orders by the government into the closure of all sorts of physical classwork in schools and coaching centers,” the official said.
In the wake of Covid19, Naib Tehsildar Bashir Ahmad and SHO Handwara also stepped up market checks to ensure that government guidelines were followed.
During the inspection, the Handwara police appeal to the public to strictly follow Covid guidelines in order to combat the infection’s rapid spread. (Agencies)
