SRINAGAR, Dec 29: Traffic department authorities on Tuesday said that in wake of fair weather and road condition all kinds of vehicles would be allowed to travel from Srinagar towards Jammu in a regulated manner on Tuesday, December 29. However, TCU Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.
According to the advisory of the traffic department, commuters are advised to follow the SOP issued by the government to prevent the spread of Covid 19.
The traffic department in an advisory said LMVs will have to cross Zig Qazigund from 10:00 am to 14:00 am and no Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.

It said that Heavy motor vehicles shall be allowed from Zig (Qazigund) towards Jammu. However fresh perishable carriers and oil tankers shall be allowed in the opposite direction subject to traffic situation on NHW.
“Government Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. They may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu,” it reads.

“On 1-1-2021 Friday, there shall be no traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW from either side in view of maintenance/repairing of the NHW,” it added.
The historic Mughal Road and SSG Road is closed due to snow accumulation, reads the advisory.

People have been advised to undertake the journey on the highway only after confirming the status of the road from phone numbers Jammu (0191-2459048, 9419147732), Srinagar (0194-2450022, 2485396,18001807091), Ramban (9419993745) and Udhampur(8491928625).
