Jammu, Jan 18: Jammu Municipal Corporation, today removed the encroachment from Maheshpura Chowk on Tuesday.
The team of Jammu Municipal Corporation dismantled the shops opposite the main gate of GMC Jammu located at Mahesh Pura Chowk.
The encroachment with the goods on the footpath was removed and confiscated during the drive. Illegally made sheds and other items were loaded into the vehicles using JCBs.
During this, the encroachers standing nearby were clearly warned that if they try to encroach again in future, then legal action will be taken.
Meanwhile, the shopkeepers said that they were waiting for official allottment of shops by JMC on BC Road and alleged that they had temporarily constructed sheds in Maheshpura on Mayor’s assurance.
