Relief and Revival of Business sector in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, August 19: Amid growing demand for a revival package, J&K government has accorded sanction for the constitution of a special committee to prepare a proposal for Relief and Revival of the business sector in J&K.

After holding detailed discussions with various business associations relating to different sectors of J&K economy, the committee has to submit the proposal by September 1st, 2020. The proposal will be considered both at Union Territory level and at the Central Level.

The business sector of Jammu and Kashmir took a hit after August 5 but after the Coronavirus Lockdown, it was completely crippled. The constitution of the committee comes as a sigh of relief for the business community of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Committee will be headed by Advisor to the Lt Governor K.K Sharma and include Financial Commissioner; Finance Department, Commissioner/Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department; Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism Department and Chairman/Managing Director, J&K Bank.
