Jammu, Jan 14: In the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy J&k team defeated Uttar Pradesh by eight wickets, reported Kashmir Life

Captain Parvaiz Rasool won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first Karnataka managed to set the total of 124 for five in their allotted twenty overs. Mujtaba Yousuf bowled an economical spell by taking three wickets and considering only 14runs in his four overs. However, Abid Mushtaq and Abdul Samad took one wicket each, said the report.

The report by Kashmir Life also mentions that the Jammu and Kashmir team chased the score easily in their 15th over. Abdul Samad scored 54 runs from 35 balls, which includes two boundaries and four sixes while Shubham Khajuria scored 34 runs from twenty-five balls.

J&K will play its  4th match of the tournament on 16 January against Punjab.
